This is the first book I read from this author and it will not be the last. There are many things I liked about this story it was original, it wasn't insta love, it had a PLOT, it was an interesting world and the characters grew as they fell in love. I liked the heroine and her growth how she struggles and how she stands up for herself. The Prince(hero) I had a harder time. He comes across as self centered and completely unrepentant and without any true sympathy.What I didn't like is that this wasn't developed enough. The system of a "pleasure slave" for the king and why it existed and how it worked wasn't explained enough. And her family was awful and truthfully the way he treated her and expected her to just "get over it" was a hard pill to swallow. That being said I enjoyed it will probably reread it and will recommend it as a quick good read.
Would love to see some editing and actual more development the author clearly has the imagination and wants to develop her craft.

Loved it. The content lacks editing (dialogs can be confusing and there are some typos) but overall a good read. Nice story and likable characters.
Quite unusual. I did absolutely love how it ended.
Good book,but really sad parts. Over all I enjoyed it.
There was 0 character development and I hated both characters. There was hardly a story line and the parts that could have one they skipped over for the same sex scene they had ever other paragraph. I had to skip pages because it was getting annoying to read rape scenes over and over again disguised as love.
This was a great read that I finished rather quick but it left me wanting more. This author is new to me and I thought the story flowed very well and only a few misspelled words but nothing bad.
This book reminded me of Johanna Lyndsey style books. Looking forward to reading more from this author
Prince forces girl to be his concubine. He makes her submissive by threatening her family. He thinks he treats her well [eye roll]. When she publicly uses body language to show her dislike for him marrying a princess, he rapes her. She is then almost gang raped the next day. She loses her memory, runs away, and he finds her. Brings her back, assaults her in her simpleton state. She remembers him, he apologizes, and they get married. I deleted it from my !
